Reflection #1:
*We had plenty of ha-ha moments, I mean I had to make jokes to lighting up the mood and open them up; eventually they opened up except one. Her name was Rufina. She’s very shy. I think she has a tuff life outside of school.
*The disappointments that I had were very minimal. The only kid who didn’t talk as much and speak up, was Rufina.
*What I did with each student during each period, was ask how there day went, and if they have seen any new movies this summer. Then we normally start our work.
*I didn’t have any expectations not met.
*The reading skills I taught this week was to how to sound out there words, also how to visualize what there trying to pronounce.
*The vocabulary words I used from your book were possession, hoisting, girder, claimed, and threatened.
*Tar Beach, By Faith Ringgold
*A brief summary of the story is that the book is about a little girl on an imaginary journey through the city of New York, helping people along the way.
*The story was effective my objective, because it was a short picture book with big concepts.
